Dynamic 8-Step Problem Solving

8 Hours, 1 Day Course

Course Overview

The Dynamic 8-Step Problem Solving course examines the Toyota 8-Step Problem Solving Method which is a part of the traditional Toyota Business Process. Quality in Action has expanded the method to include additional steps missing from the original process. We will explore the historical background behind the method and explain each step in the process.

A comprehensive blending of American problem solving methods (Ford 8-D and others) and the Japanese system is presented to create a complete and closed loop system. Statistical methods are explored as primary tools in this methodology to establish meaningful tracking and evaluation for sustaining the improvements.

A clear relationship to the A3 reporting method is discussed and how these two tools work together in the problem solving process.

The training also supplies the attendees with a copy of Quality in Actions’ Dynamic 8-Step Problem Solving© interactive form in Excel® format for teams to navigate and track problem solving projects with ease and accuracy.

This step by step format ensures successful implementation and follow-through of problem solving initiatives.
